In-Class Field Trips for Grade One Students

What’s that smell?

senses-1Taste, sight, hearing, touch and smell are represented at 5 separate stations, offering small groups of students the opportunity to explore each sense in detail.

How do our senses keep us safe? Do our other senses help out if one of our senses is missing? What adaptations have people made to help our senses? These questions are discussed to ensure students develop an in depth awareness of their own senses and how they are used.
