In-Class Field Trips for Grade Five Students
Up, Up and Away!
Students will construct, test and modify their own competition-level planes which will remain with them in the classroom.
Through experimentation and discussion, students will examine the four forces of flight: thrust, drag, lift, weight. Students will also apply the scientific method to rotocopter experiments, discovering the importance of how design affects stability and control in aircraft flight.
