Magnetism
In-Class Field Trips for Grade Four Students
Magnetism: a force for good!
This fun and exciting program encourages students to explore the compelling force of magnets.
By rotating in groups between five stations, students will use a variety of magnets and discover their properties and their everyday uses. Topics to be discussed and observed include contact vs. non-contact forces, polarity, strength and transparency. Students will also discover they can make a temporary magnet by magnetizing a pair of scissors.
The scissors will be theirs to keep.
