In-Class Field Trips for Grade One Students

Ahoy Matey!

sailors-sailboats-1Welcome aboard this truly “hands on” opportunity for students to use sandpaper and hammers and to gain confidence while building their very own sailboat. Coloring, listening and direction following skills are also implemented as students decorate their boats and create a sailor.

A short introduction will discuss the various shapes to be used in the project and allow students the chance to choose the appropriate pieces. Both sailboats and sailors are the students’ own to take home and continue the fun!
